Kamakura is the 3rd most toured spot in Japan, right below Kyoto and Nara. Kamakura was established in 1192 by the Minamoto clan after a victory over Taira. It become the center of the nation’s power until the 14th century. It’s now known for its wood and garden atmosphere and many Buddhist inspired architecture and statuary. It was our 2nd stop on the trip and there was a ton to do there and a nice little town. I took this time to go explore on my own a bit and enjoyed my time a lot there.
I got an orange float (Sorry Chris Curtiss ha), I have a sweet tooth.
They had grape pops too!
