Pebble Steel Is Here!
The Pebble Steel has arrive, a premium version of the current Pebble watch, with a $250 price tag, a $100 more than the current version. It’s not meant to replace the current version, but to tailor towards a more high class crowd. In my opinion it is the best smart watch on the market right now, due to it’s simplicity, ease of use, and visual appeal. You can pick up a Pebble Steel Here.
Pebble Event Monday January 6th
Pebble will be holding a press conference this Monday, January 6th at 11am Pacific time. They will most likely be launching their app store, which they have been working on finishing up the last couple of months. Stay tuned for a full review of the conference shortly after right here.
Samsung to Unveil a Galaxy Gear Smartwatch
Samsung will unveil their rumored Smartwatch on September 4th, it will not include their flexible display, but looks to “enhance and enrich the current smart mobile experience.” It sounds like Samsung won’t be introducing a groundbreaking Smartwatch, but will be on par with whats on the rest of the market. It will be interesting to see the first major tech company, to attack the wearable tech market.
Apple Trademarks ‘iWatch’ in Japan
Wearable technology is a relatively untapped market so far, and every major company is eager to jump on this bandwagon. So far, we have seen success with the Pebble, Nike Fuelband, and there are many other companies that are competing to set the standard. There has been some talk and rumors about Apple creating their own smart watch, and it could be sooner than we think. They just trademarked the ‘iWatch’ in Japan and I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce something this year or the next. Overall we are going to see a lot wearable technology this year and the next.
